We all know that getting enough sleep is important, but very few people know how many hours we need to sleep.
Too little sleep can cause problems of tiredness or lack of concentration during the day. However oversleeping is also unhealthy. Oversleeping can cause mental fatigue, exhaustion and is related to heart problems, diabetes and cerebrovascular accidents.
The popular belief says that eight hours are necessary to have a restful sleep, but this is not entirely true. How many hours do we really need?
It is not possible to talk about an exact number of sleep hours required. The amount of time we need to sleep for depends on our age, our physical conditions, and activities that we participate in during the day.
